Ceramide
What is Ceramide?
A lipid naturally present in the skin barrier, added to replace what dry or compromised skin lacks. Usually declared as ceramide NP, AP or EOP. It performs best alongside cholesterol and fatty acids, so a formula naming all three is a stronger barrier story than one naming ceramide alone.
