Primary packaging

What is Primary packaging?

The container in direct contact with the formula — the bottle, tube, jar, sachet or compact. Anything needed for the safe use of the product must appear here, because the outer box can legitimately be thrown away by the consumer. Primary packaging also drives compatibility testing: the same formula can behave differently in a PET bottle and an aluminium tube.
