What is Toner?

In Korean routines a lightweight hydrating step applied straight after cleansing — not the astringent alcohol-based product the word still implies in some Western markets. Explaining that difference on-pack is often necessary when introducing the category to a new market, because the name arrives with the wrong expectation attached.
