Vitamin C (ascorbic acid and derivatives)

What is Vitamin C?

A brightening and antioxidant active used as pure L-ascorbic acid or as more stable derivatives such as ascorbyl glucoside or 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid. Pure ascorbic acid oxidises quickly and turns amber, so for a hot-climate market always ask for stability data and choose packaging that limits air and light.
