What is COSMOS / ECOCERT?

A voluntary European standard for organic and natural cosmetics covering ingredient origin, processing methods and packaging. It is a marketing credential, not a market-entry requirement — CPNP notification is mandatory either way — but several European retail buyers treat it as a listing condition in the natural segment.
