What is Cruelty-free?

A claim that neither the finished product nor its ingredients were tested on animals, certified by schemes such as Leaping Bunny. Distinct from vegan — a cruelty-free product can still contain beeswax — and historically complicated by China's testing rules, which have since relaxed for most imported general cosmetics.
