What is Cushion compact?

A Korean invention: liquid base makeup held in a sponge and applied with a puff, usually with SPF. The refill format is a strong sustainability story, but the sponge and the puff are separate bill-of-materials lines with their own quality and hygiene risk, and they are a frequent source of complaints.
