What is Freight forwarder?

The agent who books carriage, consolidates cargo, prepares transport documents and coordinates customs on your behalf. On an FOB purchase the buyer nominates the forwarder, which is how you keep control of freight cost, routing and schedule rather than inheriting the seller's.
