What is Listing fee / slotting fee?

The payment a retailer charges to take on a new SKU, sometimes structured as a fee and sometimes as guaranteed promotional spend. Budget for it before modelling margin; a K-beauty launch that looks profitable at landed cost often is not once listing and promotion are included.
