What is OEM?
Manufacturing to the buyer's own specification and formula, sold under the buyer's brand. You own the formula and the exclusivity; you also carry the development cost, the higher MOQ and the longer lead time.
Why does OEM matter when sourcing Korean cosmetics?
Korea's OEM base — large houses such as Kolmar and Cosmax plus hundreds of mid-size manufacturers — is why a private-label line can be developed here faster than almost anywhere else.
